The 90th Missile Wing hosted a 5K color run to celebrate Pride Month at Argonne Parade Field on F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming, June 23, 2023.

The event was put on by the LGBTQ+ committee to promote understanding, respect and acceptance of LGBTQ+ Airmen.

“The chalk for the color run is very colorful and it is symbolic of all the different people and personalities in the community,” said 1st Lt. Marcus Jones, deployments and distribution flight commander for the 90th Logistics Readiness Squadron.

The 90 MW recognizes and values the contributions of unique and diverse Airmen every month of the year and supports Pride Month events throughout June.

“As a member of the LGBTQ community, I think events like these are extremely important,” said Staff Sgt. Austin Allen, wing command section noncommissioned officer in charge. “When I first got here there was no LGBTQ presence and I felt isolated and alone, so these events are important to spread a sense of welcoming and a sense of a community.”

In addition to the color run, the committee hosted events such as karaoke, arts and crafts, and bingo.
