While the Career Intermission Program has been established since 2014, there has only been one missileer to utilize the program, Maj. Sandra Walker, an assistant director of operations for the 321st Missile Squadron at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming.
Earlier this year, the 320th Missile Squadron changed their patch emblem to better support the effort of diversity and inclusivity, moving from the “Thunder Chief” logo approved in 1965 to the “Moby Dick” imagery of the squadron’s World War II heritage.
Members of the 90th Missile Wing Public Affairs team sat down with 90th Missile Wing Commander Col. Johnny Galbert recently to discuss his time in the commander's seat, what he likes about the wing and the area, and where he'd like to see the Mighty Ninety go toward in the future. Here are the Q&A:
