Secretary of the Air Force Deborah Lee James addresses the 90th Missile Wing in the F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo., theater Feb. 18, 2015. James discussed improvements implemented across the nuclear enterprise as well as provided Airmen with an update about the FY16 budget. She also met with focus groups to get feedback in preparation for a meeting of the Nuclear Oversight Board at Minot AFB, N.D., Feb. 20. The NOB is being held at Minot in order to provide Air Force leadership with the opportunity to learn more about both the bomber and ICBM mission and to experience first-hand the unique environmental challenges of northern tier bases. Congratulations to Airman Leadership School Class 15-C
Senior Airman Cody Meyer, 37th Helicopter Squadron special missions aviator, receives the John L. Levitow Award from Col. Tracey Hayes, 90th Missile Wing commander, during the Airman Leadership School graduation Feb. 11, 2015, at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo. The Levitow Award is the highest achievement for enlisted Airmen enrolled in U.S. Air Force professional military education. Operations officer awarded Bronze Star Medal
Col. Tracey Hayes, 90th Missile Wing commander, presents Maj. Kevin Barber, 90th Maintenance Group chief of quality assurance, with a Bronze Star Medal certificate Feb. 10, 2015, for his achievements as a squadron operations officer and advisor while engaged in operations against an opposing armed force in Kandahar, Afghanistan, from Oct. 8, 2013, to Sept. 7, 2014. Barber’s leadership and mentorship doubled the number of active Afghan training records, raising the number of qualified maintainers from zero to 36 and directly accomplished the goal of building a self-sustaining maintenance capability.
