F.E WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. – -- Maj. Henry Hughes relinquished command of the 790th Maintenance Squadron to Maj. Rachel Lovelady in a change of command ceremony at the Maintenance High Bay on F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming, June 1, 2023.
Lovelady is coming from training at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, to assume command of the squadron.
Hughes is departing the 90th Missile Wing for Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, to become the 23rd Munitions Squadron commander.
A change of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal change of authority and responsibility from the outgoing commander to the incoming commander.
