The safety of Team Warren is our highest priority.

UPDATED INFORMATION

F. E. Warren Air Force Base is remaining in Health Protection Condition Charlie with the Public Health Emergency still in effect. With that being said, there are some changes being made in a methodical and measured manner using the guidance of our Military Public Health Officer and the Center of Disease Control.

Remaining the same:

  • Base access procedures for retirees and veterans: this population (including their dependents) will only be able to gain access to base for medical needs, MPF, and shopping at the Commissary and Exchange on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1300-1630.
  • Visitor passes remain mission essential only.  Work with your unit leadership if you believe you need a pass for someone.
  • The CDC and Youth Center are restricted to children of mission essential personnel only (possibly changing May 26)
  • Gate 5 will only be used for commercial entry, while Gate 2 is for passengers
  • No local deliveries will be permitted on base; it is suggested they meet you at the parking lot outside of Gate 2 (UPS, USPS, etc. still permitted entry)
  • All playgrounds and tennis courts remain closed

 

New changes:

  • Travel restrictions are changed from “Mission Essential Travel Only” to “Please minimize unnecessary travel” with permission to travel to some state parks within Wyoming and Nebraska for day trips.
  • The DFAC will expand to-go access to all base personnel, active duty, civilians and contractors, as well as family members.  No dining-in options.
  • The Bowling Alley will re-open but is limited to no more than 10 customers in the bldg. Will open Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 1600 – 1900. No more than 3 personnel per lane.  Lanes will be spaced out to the maximum extent possible. Food services are take out only. 
  • Archery – Open, with a limit of 2 customers at a time.
  • Du Jour (Trail’s End) will offer curbside to-go meals on Thursday and Friday from (1600-1800).
  • Fall Hall/ODR – Limited hours Monday/Thursday/Friday (1000-1400).  All equipment will be available for rent with curbside pickup.
  • Arts and Crafts Center open Tuesday-Friday 1000-1400.
  • Gatherings of 10 or less are permitted.
  • Main Fitness Center, Freedom Hall, will be open Monday–Sunday 0600-1800 with designated hours for different groups. Times for Active Duty, Guard, Reserves, and DoD Civilians:  0600-0800, 1000-1330, 1530-1700. Time for DSI members:  0800-1000 and 1330-1530. Times for dependents over the age of 18:  1700-1800.
  • Independence Hall (Indoor Track) will be open Monday–Friday 0600-1800, closed on weekends, with designated hours for different groups. Times to Active Duty, Guard, Reserves, and DoD Civilians:  Monday- Wednesday- Friday 0600-1800. Dependents over the age of 18:  Tuesday and Thursday 0800-1200. Time allowed for DSI members:  Tuesday and Thursday 0600-0800, 1200-1800.

Base Facilities

  • Base Clinic

    The Base Clinic will remain open. Some services are limited.

    Appointments are not being cancelled without first contacting the beneficiary. The clinic is maximizing the use of virtual appointments, including appointments already scheduled.

    They encourage people to register for tolsecuremessaging.com or use Tricare Online to securely message your provider team for referrals, renewing prescriptions, etc.

    Well child visits for children under 2 years old are still occurring in the mornings, but for children over 2 years old the appointments are being postponed.

    IMR processes continue for labs, immunizations, and PHAQ (web). Dental flight is only completing pre-deployment IMR needs.

  • AAFES

    Masks must be worn in facilities such as the Base Exchange and AAFES Express.

    The Base Exchange now offers curb side pickup through shopmyexchange.com.

    AAFES Express hours of operation have changed to 0600 – 2000 Monday through Saturday and 0700 – 1900 on Sunday.

    AAFES Express food items (roller grill) will be bagged and placed in the warmer so that customers are not using tongs to access food on the grill.

    AAFES Food/Dining:  Carry out and drive thru only.

  • Child Care

    The CDC and Youth Center has been restricted to children of mission essential personnel only. This will be re-evaluated mid-May. May 26 is the target date for bringing back more staff.

  • Commissary

    The commissary will remain open with these restrictions:

    - 100% I.D. card checks at the entrance; no visitors allowed.

    - Masks must be worn at all times. They will turn people away for not having a mask. Children under two should not wear masks.

    - Retirees and VA card holders are only permitted to shop Tuesdays and Thursdays 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m

    - Active duty and dependents are not to shop Tuesdays and Thursdays 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. to allow them to clean and restock and while retirees and VA card holders shop, to promote social distancing.

    - "Early bird" shopping hours have been eliminated to allow more time for cleaning and re-stocking of the store. This means the commissary opens at 0900 Tuesday through Saturday and opens at 1000 on Sunday.

  • Finance

    Until further notice, the customer service counter will be closed. The following services are the only ones currently offered.   • ID Cards

    MPF remains open 7:30-4:30. To contact the office, the phone number is 307-773-4711. To schedule an appointment for a new I.D. go to the Rapids Appointment Scheduler website. Retirees, please remember to make appointments during the designated retiree hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays 1-4:30.

  • Fitness Centers

    The fitness centers are now open with designated hours for different groups and limited services.

    Freedom Hall (main fitness center): limited to 25 people at a time

    Hours: Monday–Sunday 0600-1800 

    - Times for Active Duty, Guard, Reserves, and DoD Civilians:  6 – 8 a.m., 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., 3:30 – 5 p.m.

    - Times for DSI members:  8 – 10 a.m. and 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.

    - Times for dependents over the age of 18:  5 – 6 p.m.

    Independence Hall (smaller fitness center): limited to 6 people on track and 6 people in cardio room

    Hours: Monday–Friday 0600-1800

    - Times to Active Duty, Guard, Reserves, and DoD Civilians:  Monday- Wednesday- Friday 0600-1800.

    Regulations

    - Patrons must bring and carry a face covering.  Face coverings are to be worn when entering the facility, and if you are within 6 feet of another patron while using all weight equipment. Masks not required during cardio.

    - No 24-Hour Access

    - No events

    - No intramural sports

  • Pharmacy

    The pharmacy is open, but prescriptions will not be filled the same day. Prescriptions will be filled in 72 hours and will need to be scheduled for pick-up. They can be picked up at the tent outside of the clinic. 

    To activate a prescription call 307-773-3638; this is a direct line to the pharmacy, so it is also a good number to call if you have any questions regarding your prescription. 

    For refills, you can do an automated refill, request it online, or call 307-773-2330. Please follow the guidance of calling in your refills within 1-2 weeks before you are going to run out.

    For all prescriptions, call the scheduling line at 307-773-4643 to schedule a time to pick-up from the tent. If you do not schedule a time, you will be turned away.

    *Retirees please let them know you can only come on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. according to the new base access procedures for retirees.

    They are encouraging people with recurring prescriptions to have their prescriptions delivered to their home through ExpressScripts. This helps with social distancing.

    If you need a same-day prescription filled, you can send it to a pharmacy in town.

COVID-19 SYMPTOMS AND SCREENING

Med Group Screening Plan and Respiratory Clinic Information

Active duty members only: MDG's Respiratory Clinic Hotline is open from 0730-1630 Monday-Friday and 0800-1200 Saturday-Sunday for ACTIVE DUTY members only who have fever and cold/flu-like symptoms.  Active Duty members can call the hotline at 773-5132 or 773-3915 or 773-5083. Unit leadership has a phone number if you need to reach the clinic before the above hours.  You will be triaged over the phone and disposition will be determined. 

Active Duty members with any other acute concerns, or respiratory issues after the above hours, call the appointment line during normal duty hours at 773-3461 and wait for your Primary Care Team to call you back.  After duty hours or on the weekend, call the Nurse Advice Line at 1-800-TRICARE.

GATE ACCESS

Gate Access Information

Active duty members, dependents, and mission essential personnel use Gate 2.

Gate 5 inbound and outbound is for commercial vehicles only.


Retirees and Veterans Access

For retirees, retiree dependents, and VA card holders, base access is limited to Tuesdays and Thursdays 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. only. Please use Gate 2.


Visitor Passes

Visitor access will only be granted for essential visitors using the extended pass procedures through unit leadership and the Pass and ID office.

 

Masks

All individuals on DoD property, installations, and facilities are required to wear cloth face coverings when they cannot maintain six feet of physical distance in public areas or work centers. This does not include or apply to your personal residence on base.
