Gate Hours


Saturday, 9 Jul @ 6 a.m. (all gates return to normal operations)

Gate 1: M-F 6-8 a.m.; 4- 6 p.m.
Gate 2: 24/7
Gate 5: M-F 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.


Freedom Gate:

Before School: 7:50 - 8:45 a.m.
After School: 3:20 - 4 p.m.
(Monday - Friday)


All personnel proceed to the Visitor Control Center located at Gate 1 at the intersection of I-25 and Pershing Blvd.
Family Members will not be authorized to receive these privileges and cannot be escorted onto the installation by the veteran or caregiver.
Veterans will need:
  • A valid VA-issued Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC)
  • A valid driver's license
  • Vehicle registration and insurance
Caregivers will need:
  • To be enrolled as the primary caregiver in the Department of Veteran's Affairs Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers.
  • Must have the VA-issued letter on their person indicating they are the primary caregiver
  • A valid driver's license
  • Vehicle registration and insurance

Access Forms

Please complete and save the F. E. Warren Visitor Pre-Note on your computer. Digitally signed pre-notes can be emailed to Pass and Identification. All pre-notes must be received no later than 3 days before the first day of the visit.

Passes are issued at the visitor control center outside Gate 1, 4600 Randall Ave Cheyenne WY 82005.
The visitor control center is open Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. They are closed on all federal holidays and wing down days.

If your visitor has never had a DBIDS visitor pass or card issued, please have them pre-enroll at the DBIDS website. They will be given a QRC code to print and bring with them to the VCC. This will expedite the pass process.
