Airmen from the 90th Security Forces Group will begin receiving the new Operation Enduring Freedom Camouflage Pattern (OCP) uniforms throughout 20th Air Force.  A choreographed distribution line will take place Monday, Feb. 2 at 11:15 a.m. in the security forces high bay hangar here.

The surrounding community will begin seeing the new uniforms throughout Southeastern Wyoming, Southwestern Nebraska and Northeastern Colorado as Defenders make their way throughout the missile field.

This roll-out is part of the Force Improvement Program (FIP) where leadership is making wholesale changes to better empower the Airmen and ensure they have the resources they need.  This is an unprecedented direction being taken; normally commanders look for inputs and guidance from senior leaders, but with FIP, leadership went to the Airmen in the field and got their inputs as they're closest to the mission. The command collected more than 300 FIP recommendations from the folks in the field and the roll-out of the OCP uniform is one of the recommendations being implemented.

Security Forces Airmen at Minot AFB, North Dakota, Malmstrom AFB, Montana, F.E. Warren AFB & Camp Guernsey, Wyoming, will be employing this new camouflage pattern with matching personal gear. These items include generation III cold-weather gear, which provides seven levels of protection against the extreme conditions encountered at northern-tier bases, as well as new duty gear and personal protective equipment that has been redesigned with the missile field mission in mind.

The roll-out of the OCP uniform has been in progress since September 2014.  Read more here: http://www.afgsc.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123423443
