F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- At approximately 7:42 a.m MT, Thursday, April 16, 2026, a suspicious package was located at Gate 1 near the intersection of Randall Ave and Pershing Blvd at F.E. Warren AFB.
In response, installation emergency personnel established a safety cordon around the area, implemented protective measures for affected personnel and facilities, and temporarily closed Gate 1 and the Visitor Control Center where the package was investigated.

Throughout the response, F.E. Warren AFB emergency personnel coordinated closely with local law enforcement partners to manage traffic control and public safety in areas affected by the cordon.
