90th Missile Wing Confirms Airman Death In Fort Collins Incident

The 90th Missile Wing has confirmed the death of an Airman assigned to the 90th Missile Security Forces Squadron following an incident in Fort Collins, Colorado, Sept. 30.

According to Fort Collins Police Services, the Airman was found deceased at an off-base residence. Another person at the residence was transported to a local hospital.

 “This is a heartbreaking day for the 90th Missile Wing, our deepest sympathies go out to the families and friends of those affected,” said Col. Terry Holmes, 90th Missile Wing commander. “Our focus is on supporting our Airmen while fully cooperating with local authorities and OSI as they continue their investigation.”

The name of the Airman is being withheld until 24 hours after next-of-kin notification, in accordance with Department of Defense policy.
