90th Missile Wing mourns loss, identifies Airman involved in fatal off-duty, off-base incident

The 90th Missile Wing has identified the victim of an off-duty, off-base shooting incident at Sundance Apartments in Cheyenne in the early morning of Aug. 16, 2025.

The victim, Senior Airman Joshua Aragon, was a security forces specialist assigned to the 790th Missile Security Forces Squadron, 90th Missile Wing. He joined the Air Force April 19, 2022, and he was assigned to F E Warren since Oct. 19, 2022.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Senior Airman Aragon,” said Col. Terry Holmes, 90th Missile Wing commander. “He was a valued member of our defender team, and his passing leaves a tremendous void. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and fellow Airmen as we grieve this heartbreaking loss.”

The accused in the Aug. 16 incident, Airman 1st Class Jadan Orr, assigned to the 90th Missile Security Forces Squadron, 90th Missile Wing, was taken into custody following the incident by the Cheyenne Police Department and charged with involuntary manslaughter by the Laramie County District Attorney’s Office. 

The incident is currently under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department, and the 90th Missile Wing is fully cooperating with their efforts. Out of respect for the ongoing investigation and those affected, no further information will be released at this time.
