90th MW Police Week 2018

1st Lt. Justin Fitzwater, 90th Security Support Squadron defender, runs with the thin blue line flag during a twenty-four-hour remembrance run for Police Week May 13, 2018, on F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo. The run was held to honor Defenders and civilian police alike who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. Various people from around base came to support the run and keep it going for the full 24 hours. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. People all across the United States participate in various events which honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Braydon Williams)
