Capt. Phillip Barras, 90th Medical Operations Squadron dentist, demonstrates proper flossing technique to Freedom Elementary School students with the help of three students: Andrew Newcomb, Talia Murillo and Jenna Ohlmeyer Feb. 6, 2014. Proper flossing technique requires flossers to “make a ‘C’” with the floss around each tooth to remove as much plaque and food particles as possible. Barras told the class flossing at least once a day is important to good dental health and hygiene. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Jason Wiese)
