F. E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- Carl Willard, National Guard Bureau ARI (Army Installations) BRAC field support team leader, Maj. Gen. Ed Wright, Wyoming’s adjutant general, Senator Mike Enzi, Gov. Dave Freudenthal, Col. Mike Morgan, 90th Missile Wing commander and Doug Shope, Wyoming assistant adjutant general, ceremonially break ground Oct. 8 on the Wyoming National Guard’s Joint Forces Readiness Center on base. “The joint aspect of F.E. Warren Air Force Base continues to increase,” said Col. Tammy Maas, Wyoming Army National Guard Construction and Facilities manager. “Colonel Mike Morgan has been a vocal advocate of the joint military might we bring to the base. His support ensures the Wyoming National Guard’s partnership with the U.S. Air force continues to flourish.” The $34.7 million project is part of the 2005 base realignment and closure process and is the second of two BRAC-funded projects the Wyoming National Guard is constructing on base. The first, a $44 million Army Aviation Support Facility, began November 2007 and both projects should be complete by 2010.
