Staff Sgt. Tim DeWitt Jr., 90th Security Support Squadron, controls the camera and operating system of the firearm training simulator during a March 10 training session. Security forces Airmen are required to take weapons familiarization courses at least once per three months. The program Sergeant DeWitt uses broadcasts upon a large screen, and he controls what the training Airmen see. Using a joystick, the sergeant navigates toward a crown of partially hidden enemies. The training Airmen then fire their mock weapons toward the screen, where the program registers accuracy. At the end of the session, points are tallied as to how many fake bullets were fired and how many digital enemies were killed. (U.S. Air Force photos by Senior Airman Daryl Knee)
