A maintenance team from Hill Air Force Base, Utah, hoists a missile support system out of Warren's training launch facility silo Dec. 7 at Uniform-1. The estimated weight of the MSS is more than 47,000 pounds and took the team about three hours to extract. The system is being shipped off for repairs and refurbishment, and while it is removed members of the 90th Maintenance Group will be performing corrosion control and other types of preventative maintenance in the training silo.
