90th MUNS awarded 2013 Military Affairs Committee Cheyenne Trophy

Andy Worshek, Military Affairs Committee president, and Jim Hearne, Chairman of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors pose with 90th Munitions Squadron Airmen, winners of the 2013 Military Affairs Committee Cheyenne Trophy, during a Chamber of Commerce Luncheon at the Holiday Inn on May 2, 2014 in Cheyenne, Wyo. Major Stephanie Wilson, 90th MUNS commander, holds the trophy as she and the other Airmen pictured represent the 90th MUNS’ 75 skilled technicians who produced 61 nuclear reentry systems to support the nation’s strategic combat capabilities. Additionally, the squadron’s record of superior performance, including a 98 percent evaluation pass rate on 613 intense procedural evaluations, underpinned the wing’s 2013 Omaha Trophy as the best missile wing in U.S. Strategic Command. Furthermore, their commitment to the Cheyenne community was exemplified by placing dozens of wreaths at local cemeteries honoring fallen heroes and delivering 3,000 pounds of disaster relief materials for flood victims, assisting 872 Colorado families in need. Recipients of the Cheyenne Trophy from the other military organizations include the 133rd Engineer Company from the Wyoming Army National Guard, the 153rd Medical Group from the Wyoming Air National Guard and the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 17, detachment 0317 from the Navy Operational Support Center Cheyenne.
