F-16 Refueling Mission
Different community members from Cheyenne, Wyo., and Fort Collins, Colo., board a KC-135 Stratotanker at the Wyoming Air Nation Guard airfield Aug. 22 for a chance to witness an in-flight refueling. Six F-16 Fighting Falcons from Buckley Air Force Base, Colo., participated in the event. Air guardsmen allowed the community members to operate the boom, the KC-135’s primary fuel transfer method, while waiting for the other aircraft to arrive. (Photos by Airman 1st Class Daryl Knee)
