Keeping cool under sweltering sun
BALAD AIR BASE, Iraq -- Master Sgt. Jason Dean, 332nd Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron heating, ventilation and air conditioning special project manager, strips the plastic casing off of copper cable used in a packaged air conditioning system here, May 26. The system is used to maintain cool temperatures surrounding mission essential computer equipment in the Air Terminal Operations Center. Most daily temperatures at Balad AB this month have been either at or above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Sergeant Dean is deployed from F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo.
