Fort D.A. Russell Days 2007
Dave Lesure and Rod Bergstrom, members of the Northern Colorado Fife and Drum Corps, test fire their black powder muskets to ensure they are in working order here July 20. Muskets can be greatly affected during rain, high winds and humidity due to the use of gun-powder and flint. Such problems cause the weapon to “flash the pan,” or misfire (Photo by Staff Sgt. Chad Thompson).
