Thunderbirds perform during Cheyenne Frontier Days
Thunderbirds aircraft “upside down No. 5,” piloted by Maj. Ed Casey, and aircraft No. 6, piloted by Maj. Samantha Weeks, perform a tight two-man maneuver where they almost seem to be touching vertical stabilizers. The reason Major Casey’s aircraft has an upside down No. 5 is because he performs many of the inverted maneuvers (Photo by Staff Sgt. Chad Thompson).
