The memorial stone was relocated to a location of greater prominence in honor of the sacrifice of the Buffalo Soldier units who served at Fort D. A. Russell from 1877 to 1916. Warren firefighter commended
Staff Sgt.Brandin McGovern speaks to a reporter following a commendation ceremony Sept. 2, 2020 at the Public Safety Center in Cheyenne, Wyo. McGovern received the commendation for actions detaining an individual who was sexually assaulting others at a local supermarket. McGovern made initial contact with the assailant, keeping him from assaulting others or leaving until police arrived.
