On Nov. 24, members of Air Force Global Strike Command's, 90th Missile Security Forces Squadron gathered at the Chapel Activity Center for a feast to help celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. With a turnout of hungry security forces members, their families, as well as other distinguished guests, it wasn't long before the building, as well as the line for the food, quickly filled up.

The day started out like most holiday gatherings do - in the kitchen. With a well prepared, seasoned staff of security forces cooks and bakers, it was no time at all before the traditional aromas began to fill the air.

At 11 a.m., the Chapel Activity Center doors opened up, and like something out of a "Black Friday" scene, hungry security forces members, along with their friends and families, quickly poured in, said 2nd Lt. Dexter Binion, 90th MSFS. After a few opening words from Maj. Briske, 90th MSFS commander, and the invocation from Maj. Chouest, 90th Missile Wing chaplain, plastic utensils and paper plates soon became the targets of individuals making their way towards the food line.

Like most Thanksgiving meals, it wasn't long before the kitchen was bare along with the plates - full bellies became the theme, he added. In the end, the squadron event was a great success. Security forces members came, they saw, and they devoured. This wouldn't have been possible without Senior Master Sgt. Shawn Swidecki's, 90th MSFS first sergeant, leadership and all the help from the 90th MSFS staff who assisted in putting it all together!
