Airmen unsure of where to start or what next step to take in their education have a resource they can use. Warren is hosting its first enlisted symposium Wednesday in the Pronghorn Center.

The purpose of the symposium is to better educate Airmen about the opportunities available to them here and through Internet resources. The symposium will be combined with an education fair, the second fair this year for Warren.

"[The symposium] is a good way for Airmen to get needed information on education opportunities," said Master Sgt. Jason Devereaux, 90th Space Wing career enlisted adviser. "It's convenient because it gives everyone the chance to get the information straight from the horse's mouth."

There will be representatives from various educational institutions:

-Laramie County Community College

-Park University

-Embry Riddle Aeronautical University

-American Military University

-University of Phoenix

-Colorado Christian University

"If you're interested in signing up for classes, the symposium is a good place to register, and it will help you decide the best route to go," said Sharon Edwards, education center chief of education and training.

Representatives from other organizations such as the ROTC Det. 940 from the University of Wyoming, USAA Education Foundation, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserves and Troops to Teachers will also be present and available for information.

The symposium will have two sessions; the first session from 8 a.m. to noon and the second session from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Both will feature the same information opportunities and briefings.

Military spouses are also encouraged to attend.

For more information on the enlisted symposium, call Sergeant Devereaux at 773-6668, and for information on education opportunities, call the education center at 773-2117.
