F. E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- Life on an Air Force installation can sometimes be like living in a small town. There are gas stations, restaurants, bowling alleys, movie theaters, credit unions, places to get groceries, clothing and more.

For entertainment and official functions alike, enlisted and officer clubs have been a part of the installation landscape for many years.

Here at F. E. Warren AFB, the Trail's End Club offers many events and special discounts for its members.

Maureen Gomez, club manager, said many people don't realize the amount of benefits afforded to them, just by becoming a member.

"We can loan items such as flatware, dishes, tables and linens for personal events at no cost," Gomez said. "Basically we are a rental store for events without the cost."

As a member of the club, there is no charge for an initial rental fee for rooms and there is no required deposit.

This is just one area of benefits offered to members. The club also holds daily buffets and weekly events aimed at families just wanting to spend quality time together.

"Part of our programming for the future includes weekly 'Family Nights,'" Gomez said. "The goal is to support our families and deployed spouses, which will include an inexpensive buffet dinner with games and themed events."

The club is also capable of hosting many catered events at discounted rates including awards ceremonies, wedding receptions, anniversary parties and more.

When breaking down the cost of these events, Gomez said the savings per person range from $3 to $4 per meal.

"We offer an overall 10 percent discount on any catered event, plus you pay no tax at the club," Gomez said. "Most comparable off-base establishments will charge 20 percent gratuity and six percent sales tax."

The club also offers daily lunch buffets with discounted rates for members.

For single Airmen and those just looking to unwind after a long week, the club offers karaoke, drink specials and free bar snacks throughout each month.

The Wrangler Lounge and Rogers Lounge are open on Fridays from 4 p.m. to Midnight.
