AFGSC commander message to Mighty Ninety Published Jan. 21, 2010 By Lt. Gen. Frank Klotz Air Force Global Strike Command commander BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. -- Congratulations on a strong performance during your recent inspections, including the first wing-level, No-Notice ICBM Nuclear Surety Inspection in over 18 years! Throughout these tough and demanding inspections, the Inspector General team validated that you performed as an elite and highly-disciplined team of professionals. Team success in the nuclear environment, perhaps more than any other, depends on the performance of each individual. It is obvious you have dedicated the time and energy to develop expertise in each of your critical roles. Every job in the nuclear business is vital and must be performed with the utmost precision. This is fundamental not just to passing an inspection, but more importantly to properly operating, maintaining, securing and supporting America's ICBM force. As proud members of the "Mighty Ninety," you have proven yourselves capable of accomplishing this vital mission! Savor the moment and reflect on your great accomplishment, but resist the urge to drop your guard. We still have much to do to build a model command. In the meantime, please know that I am personally proud of the 90th Missile Wing and F.E. Warren AFB.
