WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- Mighty Ninety -- thank you very much for the exceptionally warm welcome you gave Colleen, the kids and me. We are very excited to be in your ranks once again and I can't tell you how proud I am to be your wing commander. This wing has a long, proud legacy of excellence in the ICBM mission and support for deployed missions around the globe. I noticed very quickly upon my return to the base that this legacy remains alive and well. The honors and achievements you attained are significant and many -- and I know they didn't come easy. They are the result of dedicated, daily excellence and hard work by committed, motivated Airmen, civilians, and contract teammates under the guidance and mentoring of great supervisors and leaders. I would be remiss if I didn't also acknowledge the spouses, families, and great local community who support our team and are absolutely essential to our mission success. I look forward to building upon the standard of excellence you all have worked so hard to attain to ensure we continue our great legacy. Teammates, the awesome combat power of our weapon system confers a special status upon this wing. Commensurate with that special status is a unique responsibility to safely and effectively operate, secure, maintain, and support this weapon system. As our wing motto "impavide" proudly states, we will remain undaunted in our mission to deter those who would threaten our great nation, provide assurance and security guarantees to our Allies, and if deterrence fails, to accurately deliver our awesome combat power immediately upon the President's order. Together, we must ensure we remain ready to fight anytime, anywhere and I look forward to the many challenges we will no doubt face and overcome together. Once again, thanks for the first-class welcome. Colleen and I look forward to getting to know each of you and building more great memories at home with the Mighty Ninety!
