The 90th Medical Group pharmacy has made updates to their operations and processes.

SICK (Self-initiated care kit)

  • Customers can request up to three over-the-counter medications per month. This includes active duty, retirees and dependents.

  • Anyone interested must take a class to use this benefit.

    • The class is held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at 2:30 p.m. in the pharmacy lobby.

  • Patients can receive medication for common ailments, to include: common cold, allergies, sore throat and many more. No appointment is required.

MedSafe

  • Customers can safely dispose of certain medications at any time while the clinic is open. The clinic is located in bldg. 160.

  • Hours of operation: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  • This replaces the biannual drug take back days.

“The MedSafe is especially important for Airmen in the dorms because expired medications will be confiscated during inspections,” said Capt. Andrea Russell, 90th Medical Support Squadron pharmacy flight commander.

TRICARE

  • Walgreens has been added to the TRICARE network, but CVS is scheduled to be removed Dec 1. This means that patients can get their prescriptions filled at Walgreens, but not at CVS.

  • TRICARE mail-order pharmacy is available to get medications sent directly to your home.
