F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- The 90th Missile Wing Chaplain Corps provided fresh steaks to 15 missile alert facilities, Feb. 26. The steaks were provided by the commissary at a discounted rate and purchased with donations to the chapel.
The idea came about during visits to the MAFs. When visiting with Airmen, the chaplains asked if there was anything they could do to help.
During one visit, the chaplains recalled multiple Airmen speaking up and saying, semi-jokingly, that “Steaks would be nice.”
The chaplains stated the steaks were simply another avenue to help take care of the Airmen. Their goal was to boost morale for the missileers, security forces personnel and support staff who man the MAFs 24/7. There was also great anticipation leading up to the, “steak night.”
The chapel team expressed that they have a deep desire to continue to find new and creative ways to reach out to the needs of the F.E. Warren community.
