WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- Sports Medicine walk-in clinic The 90th Medical Group physical therapy team will be opening a sports medicine walk-in clinic Jan. 6 in the Health and Wellness Center. The clinic will be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 1 p.m. The clinic will provide a quick sport medicine assessment or intervention for individuals with sport or fitness questions and concerns. EFMP support group The Exceptional Families, Exceptional Service support group will be hosting a meeting Jan. 7 in the Teen Center from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This EFMP support group will be facilitated by the special needs coordinator. Asthma and Allergy Class The 90th Medical Operations Squadron is hosting an Asthma and Allergy class Jan 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Airman and Family readiness Center. The class will cover the causes of asthma and allergies, environmental factors, disease management and nutritional considerations. Lunch will be provided. All attendees must RSVP by Jan. 13. Pool Tournament The Fall Hall Community Center will be hosting pool tournaments every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A minimum of 6 players is required for the tournament to begin. Snowy Range snowboard and ski trip Outdoor Recreation is hosting a ski and snow boarding trip to Snowy Range, Wyo., Jan. 11. The trip will depart Outdoor Rec. at 8 a.m. and return around 5 p.m. The cost is $85 and includes transportation, lift ticket and equipment rental from Outdoor Rec. Twisted Tuesdays The Bowling Center is hosting Twisted Tuesdays every Tuesday in January from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Get a strike when there is a colored-head pin and receive a free game of bowling. Gym Safety Due to the high traffic in the Freedom Hall Fitness Center and the retraction of the rule requiring patrons to hand-carry their shoes into the gym, people have encountered unsafe floor conditions. The fitness staff sweeps and mops regularly, but it is difficult to keep up with the dust, dirt, snow and salt that is brought in with the weather. The fitness center staff asks gym patrons to keep this in mind when coming into the gym. CFC The Combined Federal Campaign is still going strong. The campaign continues until Jan. 15. Contact your organization's CFC representative to donate. SnoFest 2014 Next year's SnoFest will be Jan. 24 thru Jan. 26 at the Keystone Resort, Keystone, Colo. Sno Fest is a military appreciation weekend with themed parties, discounted lift tickets and snow activities. There will be a cardboard derby and snowshoe hiking as well. Holiday chapel schedule The chapel will have special hours for the holidays. · New Year's Day, Jan. 1: o Mary, Mother of God Catholic Mass in the High Plains Chapel at 9:15 a.m. Fraud alert for veterans Scammers have been reported targeting callers trying to reach the Department of Veterans Affairs National Call Center or GI Bill Call Center. A marketing company has established two fraudulent numbers that differ from the two official VA call center numbers by one digit. If the fraudulent number is dialed by mistake, the answering party will offer a gift card and try to obtain personal and financial information, including credit card information, from the caller. The answering party may even transfer the caller to the VA after the caller's information is obtained. Note that VA will never ask you for a credit card number or banking information over the phone.. Dorm manager needed A dorm manager and furniture management NCOIC position will become available mid-January. Dorm management needs a staff sergeant to fill the position. Those interested in the position will have to provide a package to Richard Singhas, 90th Civil Engineer Squadron, at Dorm 230 by Jan. 10 that includes: the applicant's last five EPRs, PT test results and a letter of recommendation from their commander.
