Chief’s shadow sees ALS before his time
Airman 1st Class Troy Engholm, 90th Logistics Readiness Squadron traffic management technician, chats with Chief Master Sgt. Michael Garrou, 90th Missile Wing command chief, during the Airman Leadership School 14-C graduation ceremony in the Trail’s End Club Feb. 12, 2013. Engholm is the latest Airman to take part in Garrou’s Shadow Program that allows Garrou to mentor junior enlisted Airman and give the Airmen a chance to see the daily life of a senior enlisted leader. A new shadow spends the day with Garrou the second Wednesday of each month — a time chosen partly because it typically coincides with ALS graduations and gives the shadows a chance to see an ALS graduation before it is their time to attend ALS.
