TRICARE beneficiaries have several pharmacy options from which to choose including military pharmacies, TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery and TRICARE retail network and non-network pharmacies. F.E. Warren's pharmacy is the least expensive option with no out-of-pocket expense on formulary medications received at the F.E. Warren Medical Treatment Facility.

TRICARE Online is one of the ways that beneficiaries can refill their prescriptions they receive on base. Interested people can go to www.tricareonline.com to get started. People can also use the refill line: 307-773-2330.

TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery offers low-cost, convenient prescriptions delivered right to beneficiaries. Switching to Home Delivery is easy. Home Delivery, operated by Express Scripts, works for "maintenance medications," which are prescriptions people take regularlys for chronic health conditions, such as high cholesterol, blood pressure, etc.

This allows beneficiaries to get up to a 90-day supply of medications (versus 30-days from a retail pharmacy). Home Delivery features $0 copays for generic medications and $13 for brand-name medications. The same amount through a retail pharmacy would cost $15 and $51, respectively. For more information on Home Delivery, visit www.tricare.mil/homedelivery.

Beneficiaries can start using TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery using the Member Choice Center, through e-prescribing from their doctors or by calling, mailing or having their doctors fax their prescription to Express Scripts, the TRICARE pharmacy contractor. Additionally, beneficiaries may contact the Member Choice Center for assistance with converting their current base pharmacy prescriptions to Home Delivery, if they prefer (copayments will apply to brand-name and nonformulary drugs). To get started, call 1-877-363-1433 or visit www.express-scripts.com/TRICARE and click on "Learn all about Home Delivery." Home delivery mail order prescriptions are not available to those with other health insurance.

TRICARE has launched a new online tool that lets beneficiaries calculate how much they can save by switching their prescriptions from a retail pharmacy to TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery. It lets them enter the number of brand name and generic medications they currently receive at a retail pharmacy and they can see right away how much money they can save moving those medications to Home Delivery. A 30-day supply of medication at a retail pharmacy has a copayment of $17. Prescriptions through Home Delivery can be filled for up to 90-days at a cost of $13. In many cases, beneficiaries can save hundreds of dollars every year on prescription copays. Visit www.tricare.mil/pharmacy to use the calculator and see the savings.
