Mighty Ninety first sergeants honored three Airmen at their monthly Diamond Sharp Award presentation, this month held here May 12, 2015.

Airman 1st Class Alexis Visser, 90th Munitions Squadron reentry system/reentry vehicle team member; Airman 1st Class Christopher Perry, 90th Logistics Readiness Squadron vehicles and vehicle maintenance technician; and Staff Sgt. Avery Brannon, 790th Missile Security Forces Tactical Response Force, comprise the Airmen named diamond-sharp Airmen for May.

Three squadrons name diamond-sharp Airmen each month, and they are hand-selected by their first sergeants, said Master Sgt. Brandon Finefrock, 90th Missile Security Forces Squadron first sergeant. The specific criteria for who is picked is up to the individual first sergeants, but they pick Airmen who are outstanding from among their peers.

"It's those individuals who are doing awesome things, sometimes behind the scenes, and going the extra mile," Finefrock said. "It's those who exhibit excellence in all we do."

Brannon said receiving the recognition is a great experience, but he was quick to deflect credit for the achievement to his leadership and wingmen.

"If you've got great leadership and great people around you, you'll be recognized," Brannon said. "You don't do anything by yourself."
