890 MSFS welcomes new commander

Maj. Garrett Shinkle assumed command of the 890th Missile Security Forces Squadron during an assumption of command, June 24, 2024, in the Peacekeeper High Bay on F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming.

Prior to his current position, Shinkle was the commander of the U.S. Air Forces in Europe Logistics Engineering and Force Protection, Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany.

An assumption of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility to the incoming commander.
