The Mighty Ninety’s Emergency Management team is rolling out a new system that will give a new lease on life to the management of emergencies and exercises across the wing.

Over the last 3 months, the EM team has been behind the scenes working to learn the new C2IMERA system while providing training to Fire, Security Forces and all the agencies that staff the Emergency Operations Center at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming.

“C2IMERA has enabled a single focal point for responders and those tasked to support them during an incident, whereas before, they had to reference multiple pages and documents during a crisis to gather the critical information they needed,” said Tech. Sgt. Kendall Herbert, one of the EM team members training others on the program. “During the training phase, we were able to teach all members their roles and responsibilities on the system and tailor the training to their units needs to ensure the wing has a well-trained team.”

The C2IMERA system is designed to provide real time tracking of tasks, dispatches, and response progress for the Emergency Operations Center team both inside the EOC and to teams in the field providing response to whatever situation they may be facing. By utilizing an events log that automatically tracks each tasks competition by referencing emergency response plans, the C2IMERA system can streamline tasks that, at one point, required the reference of material in several different locations.

With C2IMERA giving commanders the power to quickly make decisions, a common operating picture that functions in real time has been established, allowing for a speedy and coordinated response from the wing.
