F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- The Army & Air Force Exchange Service’s senior enlisted advisor came to base Nov. 2, 2023, in an effort to ensure the Airmen of F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming, have what they need to stay ready and resilient.
During his visit to F.E. Warren, Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Kevin Osby toured Exchange facilities and met with leaders from across several units.
Orby sat down with 20th Air Force Command Chief Master Sgt. Rodolfo Gamez, as well as 90th Mission Support Group leadership in Commander Col. John Dines, Deputy Commander Lt. Col. David Duncan and Logistics Readiness Squadron Command Chief Master Sgt. Todd Powell to discuss how the Department of Defense retailer can improve the quality of life for the community.
“The Exchange is all in to make F.E. Warren Air Force Base a great place to work and live,” said Osby, one of about 30 active-duty service members assigned to the Exchange. “We’re committed to expanding and improving our services and options to best serve the community.”
Among recent improvement efforts is the $3.6 million upgrade to the Express, which included an expansion of more than 1,300 square feet, the addition of a Hunt Brothers Pizza, Eddie Peppers Mexican Grill and a wider Snack Avenue selection. The Exchange will also renovate the barber shop and open an unmanned retail market in the Security Forces Building in the coming months.
“It matters where you shop,” Osby said. “Small changes can make a big difference in a community. The Exchange is passionate about enhancing the quality of life for our heroes.”
During his visit, Osby also thanked Exchange associates for their dedicated service.
The Exchange is committed to hiring heroes. Since 2013, the Exchange worldwide has hired more than 57,000 Veterans and military spouses.
“Since 1895, the Exchange has provided a lifeline to America’s service members and their families,” Osby said, noting that 85% of the Exchange’s worldwide workforce has a military connection. “The Exchange is family serving family. Whether supporting troops downrange or here at F.E. Warren, Exchange associates are there to serve those who serve.”
