The F.E. Warren Fire Department is celebrating the 101st Anniversary of Fire Prevention Week (FPW) with the National Fire Protection Association, a global nonprofit devoted to eliminating death, injury, property and economic loss due to fire, electrical and related hazards with an Open House in building 232 at 5701 10th Cavalry Ave. on F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming, Sept. 30, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This year’s theme “Cooking safety starts with YOU. Pay attention to fire prevention” works to educate everyone about simple but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe when cooking.

The base community is invited to join the F.E. Warren Fire Department for our “Fire Prevention Week Open House”" to learn invaluable life-saving practices with hands-on activities.

Activities:
Kids can make their way through the “Smoke House.”
Put out a simulated fire.
Security Forces K-9 demonstration.
Static displays from AMR, EOD, MDG, Missile Maintenance, and more.
Appearances by Sparky the Fire Dog and McGruff the Crime Dog.
The event will be capped off with an exciting vehicle extrication demonstration.
