Fall Hall Community Center to open by December Published June 26, 2009 By Kathleen Warner 90th Missile Wing Public Affairs F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- The Fall Hall Community Center completes construction October 20 and will open to base members at the end of the year. A few new things were added to the facility for the community to use. A handicapped-accessible ramp eases the use of the facility for all people to gain access to the gym and get to other activities. An equipment check out room and instructional videos are now downstairs to help organize the use for laser tag. "The laser tag room is smaller than what it used to be, but it is functional," said Tara Morton, 90th Force Support Squadron. A new internet café with a snack bar makes computer access available for everybody. The information tickets and travel office moves into the community center where the offices were located. "The ITT office is going to be very new to the building; it wasn't here before," Mrs. Morton said. Two new party rooms open up availability for private parties for members of the community to use. This new addition will be equipped with TVs, DVD players and VCRs. Along with the additions to the community center, some familiar activities return. A rock climbing wall, dance room and batting cages are available across from the gym. Video games are available to check out to help keep track of who is using the games. Pool tables, air hockey, ping pong and other games add to the activities downstairs. A projector and projection screen can be used for anyone who wants to come in and watch movies. Five million dollars to renovate the facility add to the "idea to make it modern and high tech," Mrs. Morton said. Community center staff spent about $300,000 to equip the facility. "We put a lot of thought and contemplation in how to design things to appeal to the F.E. Warren community, to provide something that has a wide appeal" Mrs. Morton said. The community center opens its availability to the whole community. Anyone 16 and under needs a parent or legal guardian present to use the facility. For information call 773-3510.
