Warren Airmen earn AFGSC Outstanding Airmen of the Year, Annual Awards Published April 1, 2011 By Staff Reports F. E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- Air Force Global Strike Command named its Outstanding Airmen of the Year at a banquet here March 24 during the annual Global Strike Command Commander's Conference. "This is an opportunity to recognize the caliber of Airmen serving throughout the command," said Chief Master Sgt. Brian Hornback, recently-appointed Command Chief Master Sergeant for Global Strike Command. "These Airmen are professionals with an outstanding commitment and dedication to the mission," he added. Chief Hornback said the four Airmen moving on as nominees for the Air Force 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year "represent the command and provide us with a glimpse of the Air Force's next generation of leaders." Nominees from 20th Air Force, 8th Air Force and Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command competed to be named Outstanding Airmen of the Year in each of the four categories. Board scores were tallied along with the scores from each Airman's nomination packages. The Air Force 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year for 2011 will be announced later this year.
