Col. Paul Jared Nelson assumed command of the 90th Operations Group during a
change of command ceremony June 15, 2022, in the Trail's End Club on F.E.
Warren Air Force Base.

Colonel Catherine Barrington, 90th Missile Wing commander, served as the
presiding officer, welcoming Nelson and his family to the Mighty Ninety.

“Col. Jared nelson is exactly the right leader to take the helm of the 90 OG and take them to the next level,” said Barrington. “He is steeped in nuclear operations and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him.”

Prior to his current position, Nelson was the director of operations and
communications for 20th Air Force here on F.E. Warren.

“It is an honor to stand here and be the newest commander of the 90 operations group,” said Nelson.

Col. Tytonia Moore, outgoing 90 OG commander, will take on the role of
director of operations for Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale Air
Force Base, Louisiana.

A change of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal
transfer of authority and responsibility from the outgoing commander to the
incoming commander.
