Major General John Allen, Air Force Civil Engineering Center commander, visited F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming, May 20, 2022, to immerse himself in the mission of the 90th Missile Wing and discuss CE’s role in the upcoming Sentinel ICBM project construction.

Air Force Global Strike Command will be replacing the 1970’s era Minuteman III missile system with the all-new Sentinel system and civil engineers will play a large role in the construction process.

“AFCEC exists to support F.E. Warren and every other base in our Air Force,” said Allen. “It works best of we are able to get out here to talk and communicate directly and build relationships with Airmen, and that is really what this visit is all about.”

During the visit, he met with personnel from emergency management, command and control, CE leadership and housing, toured facilities like the U-01 missile maintenance trainer, the weapons generation facility under construction and the Sentinel campus facility.
