F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- Lt. Col. Kathleen Tenpenny assumed command of the 37th Helicopter Squadron during a change of command ceremony May 26, 2022 in the 37 HS helicopter hangar on F.E. Warren Air Force Base.
Prior to her current position, Tenpenny was the Director of Operations for the 37 HS.
Lt. Col. Christopher Karins, outgoing 37 HS commander, will take on the role of commander at Aviano Air Base, Italy.
A change of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility from the outgoing commander to the incoming commander.
