F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. -- Brig. Gen. Terry Bullard, Office of Special Investigations Commander at Quantico Marine Ground Installation, Virginia, toured multiple facilities on F.E. Warren Air Force Base May 4, 2022.
Bullard, along with other agents and OSI leadership, toured Air Force Office of Special Investigations Detachment 805 and Uniform-01, and visited a Launch Facility.
OSI members from Det 805 welcomed Bullard and discussed their mission and vision at F.E. Warren. The Det is a focal point for criminal, fraud and counterintelligence investigations and services in support of 20th Air Force and the 90th Missile Wing.
“Our Agents help the supported mission partners link to numerous local, state, and federal law enforcement interagency partners across multiple states and jurisdictions to exponentially enhance the safety and security of our convoy teams,” explained Bullard. “They also work with these agencies to identify and key in on potential issues and challenges to the movements before, during, and after they execute to provide proactive, forward leaning engagement and assessment.”
Visits from leadership are beneficial to both parties involved.
"Visits from OSI leadership are important for us at the Detachment," said Special Agent Alexander Perkins, Commander of OSI Detachment 805. “Not only do they give us a chance to showcase how vital our support to the Nation's nuclear deterrence mission is, but they also provide OSI leadership an opportunity to talk directly to their Airmen to learn about their individual stories. Additionally, they enable us at the field level the opportunity to better understand our senior leaders' expectations and strategic vision.”
On the way to the missile field, Bullard stopped with the group at a local favorite. David and Judy Schierling, the proprietors of The Bear Mountain Stage Stop located off US-85 in La Grange, hosted a lunch for Bullard and the other OSI agents.
David and Judy’s establishment is located within the F.E. Warren’s missile field, offering a place for Airmen to stop during their shift in the field.
Bullard ended his visit to F.E. Warren with a positive impression of OSI Det 805.
"After experiencing a few days with our pros, I am even more impressed and proud of the way they overcame so much to ensure these missions are ultimately successful for both the mission they support and the people who execute them," said Bullard.
