The Military Affairs Committee, part of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, joined with the F.E. Warren Key Spouses, Women’s Civic League of Cheyenne, and Cheyenne business and community members Feb. 10, 2022 to host the 5th Annual Cookie Drive at the Chapel Activities Center on F.E. Warren Air Force Base.

The MAC and Key Spouses collected over 700 dozen cookies to give to the Airmen of F.E. Warren.

For at least two decades, members of the MAC and the F.E. Warren Key Spouses have teamed up to ensure 90th Missile Wing Airmen have an improved quality of life while here. In fact, the Adopt an Airman program was born during the first annual cookie drive.

“We have an exceptional relationship with our community, this is just another great example of that partnership,” said Col. Catherine Barrington, 90 MW commander. “Cookie drives may seem small, but to the Airman away from home for the first time, it means a great deal.”

The MAC hosts the Adopt an Airman Program, Month of the Military Child activities, Military May celebration, Armed Forces Day BBQ and the General’s Reception during Cheyenne Frontier Days. The committee also works behind the scenes to help the Airmen and mission of the in various ways. The annual cookie drive is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to helping our service members.

“The annual cookie drive is an opportunity for the community to show their support in a very tangible way,” said Carolyn Ritschard, MAC president, Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce. “Community members enjoy having ways to support Airmen.”
