F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyoming --

Maj. Ian Cordell assumed command of the 90th Comptroller Squadron during a change of command ceremony Aug. 13, 2021, in the Pronghorn Center on F.E. Warren AFB.

Prior to his current position, Cordell was a budget analyst for Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command Directorate of Comptroller and Financial Management at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana.

The outgoing commander, Maj. Nelson Mitchell will be moving on to the 158th Fighter Wing, Vermont Air National Guard, taking on the role of CPTS commander.

A change of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility from the outgoing commander to the incoming commander.
