Colonel Paul Toth took command of the 90th Medical Group during a change of command ceremony June 23, 2020 on F. E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming.

Prior to his current position, Toth was the Deputy Director for the 81st Medical Group at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi.

Colonel Kristine Hackett, outgoing 90th MDG commander, will become the Chief of Patient Safety at the Defense Health Headquarters, Virginia.

A change of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility from the outgoing commander to the incoming commander.

“Reflecting back on the 17 year old kid getting on a greyhound bus to basic training in 1985, I never thought I would be standing up here today. This is a dream come true,” said Toth. “I have met and worked with a lot of wonderful people, seen interesting places, and worked a variety of challenging jobs in preparation for this day. I can tell you with the utmost honesty that I consider this command opportunity as the pinnacle of my career.”

Toth said it is truly an honor to take command of the 90th Medical Group and when looking back at the 17 year old kid going to basic training, he never imagined this day would be in the future.
