F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, Wyo. --

Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Manning assumed command of the 90th Communications Squadron during an assumption of command ceremony, June 10, 2020, on F. E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming.

Before his current position, Manning was the deputy for the strategy and architecture branch at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

Colonel Carolyn Ammons, 90th Mission Support Group commander, presided over the ceremony.

An assumption of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility to the incoming commander.

Manning expressed his excitement to be taking over as commander of the squadron.

“Today is an exceptionally special day for me and my family,” said Manning. “As I look back on the distinguished past of F.E. Warren and the 90th Communications Squadron I am humbled by the opportunity to be part of such a rich team.”
