Colonel Damian Schlussel took command of the 90th Security Forces Group during a change of command ceremony July 12, 2019, on F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo.

Colonel Peter Bonetti, 90th Missile Wing commander, served as the presiding officer, and mentioned Schlussel’s vast knowledge and experience.

“This isn’t Damian’s first rodeo in missile country,” said Bonetti. “I know he’s going to do great things as he’s a natural, proven leader.”

Schlussel previously served as the chief of operations for the National Military Command Center at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.

Schlussel spoke about how honored he is to command again.

“Any time that you have the ability to lead and serve alongside great Airmen and defenders, it is truly an honor,” said Schlussel. “I don’t take this responsibility lightly and I’m all in.”
