If you see something, say something

We all have the responsibility of force protection. If you see something that looks suspicious, say something. You could be the key to preventing a terrorist attack or to stopping a crime. There are commonly detectable indicators that precede most terrorist attacks.

Specific things to look for include things such as: personnel that are acting strange or taking pictures of military operations, or asking probing questions about what we do or the mission of the 90th Missile Wing. One of the most proactive things that you can do as a military member or family member of someone that is active duty is to report suspicious activity.

The Operation Eagle Eyes program is a way to report this activity to law enforcement and the Office of Special Investigations. When you see or have information regarding suspicious activity you should conduct the following actions:

  •  In an emergency, always call 911 as soon as you safely can.

  • Do not approach suspicious persons.  Let security forces or law enforcement make contact if necessary.

  • For non-emergencies, call the base defense operation center at 773-3501 or AFOSI as soon as possible if you can safely do so.  Security forces will ask “who, what, when, and where?”  Examples include a description of the person(s) involved, location where the incident has occurred, any vehicles that are involved to include license plates and any identifying features of the vehicle.

Don’t be embarrassed to call, or assume that it is nothing.  If you see someone or something that looks suspicious, say something!
