We’ve all been there, life gets busy, the mission calls or we just don’t feel like going. We’ve all missed a medical appointment, and we don’t always see the harm.

But seriously you’ve got to stop.

Unfortunately, people are not canceling appointments, and this is costing the Air Force money and preventing others from seeing the doctor in a timely manner.

In 2018 there were almost 2,000 no shows for active duty on F.E. Warren Air Force Base.

The Solution

If you are active duty, be sure to notify leadership upon scheduling an appointment.

If you are unable to make it, cancel the appointment. The clinic requires a two-hour cancelation however, any notice is appreciated opposed to a no show.

Canceling an Appointment

There are two ways to cancel an appointment for your convenience.

1.  Call the clinic appointment line at 307-773-3461, Option 1, Option 1. When prompted provide the patient's name, last four of social, the date/time and location of the appointment.

2.  Sign up for the patient portal at www.TRICAREOnline.com and cancel the appointment by clicking on the green calendar within the wheel, choose “My Appointments” in the left taskbar, scroll down to “My Appointments” and click the desired appointment, click “Cancel this appointment.”

Despite the potential consequence presented by the active duty’s commander, health is a readiness factor. So don’t take an appointment away from someone trying to seek the proper care in a timely manner.

Take health seriously.
