F.E. Warren Fire Emergency Services will be conducting a variety of events Oct. 10 to 14, to spread the message, “Don’t Wait Check the Date,” during Fire Prevention Week. This year’s theme focuses on replacing old smoke detectors that may not be operating properly.

Events will kick off with a fire department open house and fall festival Sept. 24, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at fire department station one, next to the dining facility. Activities include puppet shows, fire-extinguisher training, a smoke-house maze, a bouncy house, firetruck displays, more than $650 in door prizes and much more.

“Warren Fire Emergency Services is committed to educating the base residents,” said Greg Chesser, 90th Civil Engineer Squadron fire chief. “We gladly open our doors to provide a fun day filled with great learning activities, along with crafts and games.”
